Staff Reviews

Beautiful Ugly follows Grady, writer and husband of Abby. After Abby’s car is found abandoned, Grady falls into a deep grief. A year later, Grady travels to a tiny Scottish Island to get his writing life back on track. What he didn’t expect was to see a woman who looks exactly like his missing wife. While I typically do not delve into mystery novels, I found this book to be thoroughly engaging and difficult to put down. Set on a remote island, the vivid descriptions transported me to that locale. The narrative is fast-paced, featuring short chapters that make it fly by.
